When you visit our optometrists, we’ll go through a process of exploration and narrow down precisely what glasses your eyes need to perform and feel their best.

It’s a common misconception that a single pair of glasses will suit all situations when in reality, your eyes might require more than one cover-all solution. That false belief has caused many of our clients grief, frustration and discomfort before they come to us and see the difference our more thorough approach makes!

No matter where you are, what you’re doing or when, your vision should be as sharp, clear and comfortable as possible. And a complete set of 2-3 pairs may be what you need to make that happen.

STEP 1: COMPREHENSIVE EYE TEST

To detect any changes in your vision or eye health.

STEP 2: LIFESTYLE INVESTIGATION

We won’t just prescribe the eyewear you had before and maintain the “status quo”—we will make sure that solution is actually working for you. So you’ll be asked a variety of questions about your lifestyle, your vision needs and whether your glasses are fit for purpose. These questions will help us guarantee the perfect pair or set of glasses to match your eyes and your lifestyle.

STEP 3: PERSONALISED VISION SOLUTIONS

We will guide you through four distinct decisions (lens design, coating, material and treatment) when customising each set of glasses. This may be one pair or several pairs with different lenses for different purposes.

STEP 4: FRAME SELECTION & FIT

Once you’ve chosen your frames with the support of our eyewear specialists, we conduct lens measurements using our advanced Visioffice System to deliver the most individualised, high precision lenses. Because near enough is not enough! The result? Lenses that are customised to suit your head posture and visual behaviour for maximum clarity and comfort of vision.

Our lens partner of choice is Essilor, a leading lens manufacturer that invests millions into research and development to deliver the best outcomes for vision and eye health.

When constructing your perfect pair(s) of glasses, you’ll end up with a combination of some of the following lens options, tailored to your eyes and lifestyle requirements:

Single Vision (Reading or Distance) Lenses

Used to correct short-sightedness, long-sightedness and astigmatism.

Eyezen (“Screen”) Lenses

Help to relax and protect your eyes from digital screens all day long. The lenses have an enhanced lower portion of the lens, designed to ease eye strain caused by close reading distances and viewing small text on handheld devices.

Bifocal Lenses

Contain 2 lens powers and are used to correct the vision of people (usually over 40 years old) suffering from presbyopia. Bifocals will allow you to see up close and in the distance, but not at a mid-range distance e.g. the distance of your computer screen or car dashboard.

Progressive Lenses

Also used to correct the vision of people who are presbyopic, however, they allow you to see at all distances – far, mid-range and up close.

Anti-reflective Lens Coatings

Eliminate reflections providing much better clarity and comfort of vision, and a more attractive look. People see your eyes instead of their own reflection in your lenses. Coated lenses provide safer, more comfortable night-time driving by reducing reflection from headlights, taillights and streetlights, and can reduce eye fatigue and headaches caused by reflections from computer screens and daytime lights. They also provide protection from scratches, smudges, dust, and water thereby improving the clean-ability of your lenses. And last but not least, they increase your level of UV protection for your eyes.

UV Protection Lenses

Protect your eyes from harmful UV rays.

Blue Light protection Lenses

Filter out blue light that comes from the sun, cell phones, computer screens, televisions and other forms of LED light to improve visual comfort.

Transitions (Photochromic) Lenses

Automatically adjust from clear to dark and every shade in between. As well as making your vision more comfortable, they also reduce eye strain and fatigue and block 100% UV rays.

Polarised Sun Lenses

Eliminate blinding reflected glare to offer you greater visual comfort, excellent clarity of vision, better reaction time and improved performance in whatever you do.

High-Index Lens Materials

Make your lenses thinner and lighter and can improve the optical performance of the lens, giving you clearer vision all the way to the edges of the lenses.
